Game of Thrones: The Cast

April 17, 2015 [Updated]

Part of the allure of George R.R Martin’s fantasy realm is the sheer number of memorable characters.  Fans are commonly in love with many of the major characters such as Jon and Dany but even the minor characters have a role as well!  The world of Westeros (and Essos!) is filled with amazing personalities and the actors that round out this amazing cast bring them to life in a way we would have never thought possible.

Here at HBO Watch our team of writers has taken on the task of featuring each of these incredible characters in a stand-alone article about some of our favorite personalities.  Below you’ll find a list of characters from the series with links to those we’ve had the chance to feature.  We hope to have articles for all of the Game of Thrones cast members as time goes on.  Until then we’ll just refer you to a wikipedia entry for that character if you’d like to learn more in the mean time.  If you see a Game of Thrones cast member that you’d like to write about feel free to check out our author sign-up page and show us your skills!  (Characters whose names are links have been completed already – give them a read!)

My friend told me that this Movie is really awesome then I googled it and found that it has a very high rating. I finished 4 seasons in 4 days. Only sleep for few hours in these 4 days because the movie is just too awesome. Cant wait for the season 5.

We just got HBO this year, started watching Thrones. We have finally watched all first 3 seasons, finishing up this season with episode 7, just in time for episode 8 for Sunday. We started watching them just two or three weeks ago.!!! That’s how good it is. I knew my husband would love it because he loves all shows that have to do with Knights and Kingdoms etc., (even if the shows weren’t that great! ) I always tell him he that one of his past lives was during the Knighthood days. Keep up the excellent work and may Thrones go on for many seasons.

To be honest, I started watching The Game of Thrones March 2014 and watched all 3 Seasons in a matter of 10 days and now I can’t get enough of it. I got several family members and close friends to start watching GOT before Season 4 and of course, “loved it.” There are so many brilliant actors on one amazing show which anyone and everyone can relate to. Thank you GOT!!!

  4. I totally agree with Susan about this serie being the highlight of my week. I really miss it and I hope this awesome fantasy-medieval mixed series will get continued for many seasons to come. Every episode it takes my breath away and leaves me stunned. So HBO, if you ever come some money short for a new season – I’m happy to make a donation (maybe it’s a nice idea to get it crowdfunded then?)!

Miss the show.It was really the highlight of my week.looking forward to seeing all my old friends. The characters.Love that you included the dire wolves and the dragon’s.I do not think they should use Obama’s head on a spike…the Bush thing was precious though.Much needed levity.Wonderful show …keep it comming!

  6. Gabron /

For season three please put obama’s head on a stick like you did George Bush’s in season two. This will add a little color to your highly acclaimed TV show.

  7. Kim /

Keep it coming love it, only Tv show I watch.

    • Glad you like them Kim! We have more on the way but we want to make sure they last til season 3! Keep an eye out for Ned, Sansa, Bran and Catlyn!
