The new year is coming fast and with it new and returning shows to the lineup. The limited series THE YOUNG POPE kicks it off in January and now we know what is coming in February. Remember when the new winter season started in January? Well, those series are pushed to the second month bumping launch dates for the rest of the year. We also know that GAME OF THRONES will be bumped later than usual as well.

GIRLS returns for its sixth and final season SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (10:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT). Created by and starring Lena Dunham, the Emmy-winning comedy series is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their 20s. Dunham executive produces along with Judd Apatow, Jenni Konner, Ilene S. Landress, Murray Miller and Bruce Eric Kaplan. The cast also includes Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, Alex Karpovsky, Andrew Rannells and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER returns for its fourth season SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT). Presenting a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues, the Emmy winning show is the only weekly news-oriented comedy series to be presented on Sunday night. Executive producers, John Oliver, Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jon Thoday, James Taylor.

The comedy series CRASHING debuts SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19 (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET/PT). The show was created by and stars Pete Holmes as a standup comic who discovers that his wife is unfaithful, leading him to reevaluate his life amidst the New York City comedy scene. Artie Lange, Lauren Lapkus and T.J. Miller also star. Executive produced by Judd Apatow and Pete Holmes.

HBOWatch is planning to be around to review these shows as they come around. We should also have a little more detail about CRASHING sometime soon. ANIMALS., though not officially announced, may appear in February also as that is when Season One appeared earlier this year. Stay tuned.
