2022Emmys-Euphoria

A number of circumstances have delayed several shows from arriving on the schedule as fast as fans want them to. EUPHORIA has certainly been one of them. The last episode of the series was way back on February 27 2022 with the season two finale “All My Life, My Heart Has Yearned for a Thing I Cannot Name.” It marked the last appearances of Barbie Ferreira as Kat Hernandez, Javon “Wanna” Walton as Ashtray, and Angus Cloud as Fez.

Now some may have understandably given up on the show, especially after creator Sam Levinson’s disastrous detour for THE IDOL, but loyalists will be happy for any bit of news. And that is what we offer today, just a bit of news. Speaking with MTV’s Josh Horowitz EUPHORIA star Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassandra “Cassie” Howard on the show, dropped vague but important news. Sweeney, out promoting her new horror movie Immaculate at SXSW  was asked if she was ready for some time off and her response was

“I go into EUPHORIA.”

Colman Domingo, who plays Ali Muhammed, also had something to say recently about the show. He offered insight into what was taking so long with GQ. He is quoted as saying,

“[Sam Levinson is] a person who writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again, because I think he’s wrestling with what’s important. He’s Euphoria_S3News3responding immediately to what the ills of the world are. I know that the one thing I can tell you is that he’s very much interested in the existential question of who we are right now. Our souls. That’s what he wants to figure out with season three.”

Well, Levinson better hurry up if he wants to stay relevant. It won’t be until 2025 that we see Rue and friends on HBO again and by then we might have already forgotten about them all. It also gives off the impression that Levinson isn’t always on the top of his game. Instead of staying on task, he diverted his energies onto THE IDOL and thus distanced EUPHORIA fans and the actors away from the acclaimed series. For everyone’s sake here is hoping Season Three is euphoric.
