Due to the earlier industry strikes, big houses like WBD are now back at it double time with their programming slate. WBD outlets Max and HBO want you to subscribe so they are going to herald whatever they can to get or keep us engaged in 2024. So, we are seeing the likes of a HOUSE OF THE DRAGON tease now, even though it is not arriving until next summer. It has got the internet’s attention.
It starts with the release of graphics featuring the cast. Season two returning cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
Season two new cast: Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. The previously announced new season two cast includes Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
But just a few photos are not enough to quell anyone’s appetite. A teaser trailer was a must-have – and here it is, with tattered dragon wings and all.
Remember, the saga is set 172 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. The imagery seen here alludes to the pending battle between the two Houses Targaryen & Hightower.
“And no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”
HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Season Two will offer up eight (8) episodes beginning sometime the Summer of 2024. We will keep you up to date on the actual premiere date and the full trailer when they are announced. Are you willing to stick with HBO in 2024 to catch the epic battle when it commences? It is going to be thrilling!
