We have some good news and bad news for you HBO fans: the bad news is that Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley will be taking a week off this upcoming Sunday, May 25th, Memorial Day weekend . This is something HBO did last year and it worked rather well for its award winning film: Behind the Candelabra.

The good news is that HBO won’t be leaving you out in the cold, with nothing to watch on Sunday night. The Normal Heart premieres that night at 9PM. The film premiered in New York City and has received many favorable reviews since that time. Starring Julia Roberts, Mark Ruffalo and the dramatic acting debut of The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons with Brad Pitt at the production helm? This is something you’ll want to see and will be talking about for months to come (particularly around Emmy season).

We’ll leave a reminder on our schedule page to reflect this change if you forget.

The other good news is that this means that Game of Thrones season 4 will end LATER in the year than it would normally. Episode 8 will debut at its normal hour on June 1st alongside Silicon Valley and Veep. Maybe you’ll be camping, spending time with your family or honoring those who’ve served our country anyway, right?  Either way be sure to check out or record The Normal Heart at 9PM on Sunday and come back next Sunday for Game of Thrones.

Here’s the latest trailer to keep you company this week:

Oh, boo fucking hoo! Not everyone thinks GAME OF THRONES is the be all and end all. Granted it is highly entertaining, but not the only thing of quality HBO offers.

The bad thing is HBO only offers Sunday nights as their big night of the week. It really should expand its scheduling to include other nights because there is no reason to mess with the Sunday schedule with six other days in a week.

HBO is certainly not brave when it comes to that. It has people trained to turn on HBO on Sundays, so it wants to place all its premieres on that night so that the largest number of people catch what it is dishing out. HBO Film presentations are highly acclaimed so it wants all eyes on its latest one. Watch THE NORMAL HEART or not; it is your choice.

This bullshit! I don’t fork out extra money so they can literally put on a gay ass movie to interrupt the premiere of good and great shows that I want to watch!

Thanks for ruining my Sunday night.

I had to go to another website to get the message crystal clear, sounds that difficult to you guys?

“In fact, next week the show will be taking a break
on Memorial Day weekend. Yes, that means no new episode on Sunday, May 25, 2014.”
