HBO-Logo-SpaceWe know, we know. You are counting down the days until April 14. There is, however, plenty of HBO to see before then. Perhaps it is not a big blockbuster, but just good television as you explore movies to watch either for the first time or to repeat a favorite and specials and smaller series as well…look for yourself. Here is what’s on for February 2019.

Original Series: Written and created by Nic Pizzolatto, TRUE DETECTIVE continues its third season SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 03 (9:00-11:00pm), followed by new episodes subsequent Sundays at the same time, leading up to the season finale on 02.24.19. Mahershala Ali stars as Wayne Hays, a retired detective who has been tormented for 35 years by a case involving the 1980 disappearance of a 12-year-old boy and his ten-year-old sister in the town of West Finger, Ark. As the aging Hays, his memory failing, ruminates on details of his investigation with the producer of a true-crime documentary, he looks back to 1980, when the crime took place, and 1990, when a shocking discovery reignited interest in the case. These flashbacks reveal key characters like Roland West (Stephen Dorff), his partner at the time of the murder, and Amelia Reardon (Carmen Ejogo), a schoolteacher and writer, as well as county officials, FBI agents, family members and suspects.
