“If HBO had ‘Arrested Development’ it would still be on” says former castmember

Would the short-lived cult classic ‘Arrested Development’ have survived had it been on a premium channel like HBO?  Jessica Walter thinks it would have telling Entertainment Weekly’s Inside TV: “Arrested was more for cable audience, like Showtime or HBO.  If it had been on one of those networks, it would still be going.”

To our knowledge, there are no plans to bring the series back to the small screen on any network but the Arrested Development move rumblings continue.

Interesting quote from one of the cast members here. We’re not sure we agree but it’s true that HBO tends to let struggling series get their footing more so than other networks worried about advertising.

Maybe Netflix will pick them up?
