11martinGame of Thrones author George R.R Martin does not appreciate loose tongues.  On his personal blog he reveals how Amazon ‘screwed the pooch’ by prematurely releasing a set of 180 copies of ‘A Dance with Dragons’, book five in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of which Game of Thrones is the first.  The latest installment was supposed to hit the streets on July 12th but spoilers have now leaked on to the internet, some of which Martin is calling false.  True to form, the author jokingly called for the leaker’s ‘head on a spike’.

HBOWatch would like to remind our readers to keep safe from spoilers by steering clear of spoiler ridden Game of Thrones forums, chat rooms and the like while they wait for the HBO programs to be produced, one per year.  In reality, the only way to avoid being spoiled is by heading over to your local bookstore and purchasing the novels for themselves.  So make sure you’ve got a fresh set of batteries for your booklights and don’t let Game of Thrones season two get spoiled by those spoiler-happy cravens and wenches!
