Chris Lilley’s ‘Angry Boys’ To Premiere on Jan 1

By Jacob Klein on Nov 10, 2011 to HBO News

Though previously scheduled to premiere on January 8th, Chris Lilley’s newest comedy venture ‘Angry Boys’ has been bumped up to New Years Day!  This change was most likely due to the schedule shuffle of it’s new series ‘Luck’, starring Dustin Hoffman which is set to premiere January 29th with a sneak peek premiering after the Boardwalk Empire season finale on December 11th.

Angry Boys has already premiered in other parts of the western world and has received generally favorable reviews so fans of Mr. Lilley have little to fear! The show looks to be “very, very funny” says The Guardian.

The show will run with two episodes back-to-back each Sunday night, with a hiatus Jan. 29 for the debut Luck. Check out the trailer for Angry Boys below if you haven’t already! HBO will present an encore of Chris Lilley’s previous series and fan favorite, “Summer Heights High,” Saturday evenings at 11:00 and 11:30 p.m., Dec. 3-24 on HBO2.
