The Wire Being Remastered, Rebroadcast in HD

IMPORTANT: We’re classifying this as a rumor for now since HBO has not made this official and the HBO Schedule does not reflect the video’s claims.  We’ll check in with HBO after the holiday weekend to confirm this.  The original source is this man claiming to have seen this on HBO’s air: again, re the wire rebroadcast thing, that promo was shown on HBO today. so it's real, whatever that means. https://t.co/68azpz7LFv — Arthur Gies (@aegies) August 23, 2014 Anyone else seeing the same?  Please comment with your first-hand experiences. True Detective Season 2 Air Date Window Shifts

Many of you have been patiently waiting for news about the HBO 2014 sleeper hit True Detective. Ever since season 1 panned up into the stars and faded to black the biggest question on all of our minds has been “when will True Detective season 2 air?” Normally HBO is very consistent with their premiere dates. A series that premieres in the spring such as Game of Thrones will continue to air in subsequent springs each and every year. Many times we’ve even been able to predict the exact Sunday that an HBO series would premiere on well before they’ve made it official.  It’s like clockwork, in a way. But True...

Seth Meyers Ribs HBO at the Emmys

This little joke caught our attention as it was quite clever. HBO is often lauded at the Emmys by the actors, writers and directors who work for the network. Julia Louis-Dreyfus started her acceptance speech with a Thank You to HBO. But even the host got into it last night with this little joke about the Home Box Office: “Congratulations to HBO. They have 99 nominations tonight, the most of any network. Not to be outdone, NBC is also a network.” and then… “I gotta say: HBO is like the kid you grew up with who ended up doing way better than you expected. 99 nominations. When I first met HBO, all he had was Grease...
