There is not a lot to say here but fans of all things Danny McBride will certainly be happy to know that Season Four of 
THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES is underway. We know this due to an Instagram posting from the production. Roughhouse Pictures out of Charleston, South Carolina let us know that all the blessed shenanigans were once again in play.
But what will happen in the fourth season? No clear pilot details have been announced, but if what went down in the Season Three finale is any indication, there is bound to be plenty of upheaval spiced with plenty of divine comedy for the Gemstones. We know it has been a while but don’t you recall the Monster Truck Redeemer, Baby Billie’s Bible Bonkers, and the whole Gemstones brood together? In this next season, there could be extended family members out to become big players in the family’s ministry; family scandals could rock the megachurch at any turn and hotheaded blunders could erupt at any time. You never can tell what Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, and Jody Hil will come up with!
Lest we forget the great work of John Goodman, Adam Devine, and Edi Patterson, right? We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention them. To that listing, we can add Walton Goggins, Tim Baltz, Tony Cavalero, Cassidy Freeman, Gregory Alan Williams, Kristen Johnston, and Skyler Gisondo. We hope they all get some camera time.
Though the start of the coming season was halted by the industry strikes, everything is on track now and hopefully the production will be heavenly blessed to complete the season timely. That means we could see the show as early as late 2024 or winter ’25. We will keep you updated on what as ended up being McBride’s most popular contribution to HBO to date.
