It is about time we saw some concrete evidence of VICE PRINCIPALS. We have only been tracking it since May of 2014. Created by Danny McBride and Jody Hill, who were also the creators of EASTBOUND & DOWN, the new show tells the story of a high school and the people who almost run it, the vice principals. The show has already committed to eighteen episodes over two seasons and perhaps it took time to get to screen because they got all those episodes in the can already. Get ready for the misbehavior of the VICE PRINCIPALS!

We warned you they were misbehaving fools. The main crux of all this is that Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Walter Goggins), the vice principals in a school, will go to any length to be considered the top choice for the coveted principal’s position. They will strive to one-up each other and even come to blows to shine as the alpha dog in the workplace.

As is seen in the above clip the school seems to be a good institution; it features clean wide halls, shows zero vandalism and has a large and diversified student body that reflects the good section of town. It is a typical school complete with pep rallies, fist fights and extracurricular sports; all the things we loved and hated from our school days. The series also features a number of students, teachers and the unavoidable guidance counselor and school nurse. All set up for what looks like a hell of a lot of fun whipped up McBride style.

Also released is the Season One Poster which looks like a doodles sheet from a teacher’s tablet.

Relive your school days with McBride and company present VICE PRINCIPALS coming in July. We suspect it will be coupled with Season Two of BALLERS. However, the drama is not confirmed as of yet – we hope it is WESTWORLD but it also could be THE NIGHT OF. Regardless get to class when the bell rings for VICE PRINCIPALS!

This looks great! I can’t wait! It looks silly and fun and I love the casting of Walter Goggins. Excited!
