So you’ve been watching Game of Thrones religiously through all three seasons.  You broke down and started reading [amazon_link id=”0345529057″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]the George RR Martin novels[/amazon_link], even the Dunk and Egg prequels!  But now you’re lost.  With months until season 4 and a new book at least a year out, you need something to satisfy your craving.

Well George Martin isn’t one to let his readers down (or is he?).  A new booklet titled: [amazon_link id=”0345539125″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Wit & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister[/amazon_link] is making its way to bookshelves everywhere on October 29th.  The booklet includes illustrations and quotes from Tyrion Lannister himself on everything from being a dwarf to Westerosian life lessons.  Here are a few pages from the new book:

Looks great, right?  You can pre-order the  book in time for the Holidays.  It would make a great stocking stuffer for any fan of the books or series.  [amazon_link id=”0345539125″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Grab it on Amazon for under 10 bucks[/amazon_link].

George can’t seem to stop finding ways to keep the money rolling in. I’d love to see him actually produce the Winds of Winter, rather than silly thing like this or coffee table books.

It’s just illustrations and quotes, anyone from his editing team could have made this, they just needed George’s permission. Don’t blame George, at this point he probably doesn’t care about how much he’s making as he is financially stable. He’s doing his best on writing the next books. Try doing the same thing (writing his series) for a decade or so. It’s not that easy. Patience man! :)

Patience. It’s what I’ve been having the last thirteen years. Buying a book I can make myself in an hour or so (copy-pasting Tyrion quotes from the books) is not exactly helping (it will help GRRM get even richer obviously but it isn’t helping me).
This “product” is the perfect example of how much s**t Martin fans willingly take in their patience.

GRRM said that he did not work on this little book. He just gave the approval.

Yeah he probably didn’t spend too much time on it either way. I feel your pain MJ but I doubt this took up more than an hour of his time.

Yeah, it seems that any foolish man can do a compilation of Tyrion’s phrases, hell, I did it when I was in school, it’s called “abstract”; you really don’t have to be GRRM to write a book about a character of A Song of Ice and Fire…

I ordered three of them promptly. One for me and two as gifts. Very amused.

Woohoo! Excited! PS: The wrong “its” is used in: “The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister is making it’s way to bookshelves everywhere on October 29th. ” Possessive vs. it is ;) Thanks for sharing the news!

You must have sharpened your mind on books like a sword to a whetstone. Thanks.

“Its” is correct. Possessive without the apostrophe and “it is” with.
