The internet is lit with the news that Howard Stern, broadcaster and self-appointed “King of All Media”, is bringing his commentary to HBO Max. His long-standing SiriusXM broadcast is getting filmed and uploaded weekly beginning September 17. Here are details from a WBD press release.
HBO Max has partnered with The Howard Stern Production Company, Inc. and SiriusXM to release weekly filmed episodes of THE HOWARD STERN SHOW. The series will debut on HBO Max globally on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 at 12:01 am PT/3:01 am ET, with new episodes releasing subsequent Thursdays. Each week, Howard’s SiriusXM show will be adapted into a streamable episode for HBO Max. The series is executive produced by The Howard Stern Production Company, Inc.

His brand of commentary and questioning will sit beside HBO’s other pundits John Oliver and Bill Maher, but, of course, offered in his unique style. He isn’t for everyone, but must be a voice out there worth hearing. The new season of The Howard Stern Show will debut on SiriusXM on Monday, September 14, with new live episodes airing every Monday as the program goes down from two to one show a week. Each week’s show will then be adapted into the streamable episodes made available on HBO Max three days later. He barked about retirement, but I guess not now. Are you a Howard Stern fan?
