The 30th Annual Induction Ceremony at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio is ready to air! The event was held on SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2015 at the historic Public Hall in Cleveland and was filmed by HBO and packaged up for a Concert Special that will debut SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2015 starting at 8:00pm.

Below is an official Press Release detailing this year’s honorees and their presenters, plus a line-up of performers for the concert immediately following the ceremony.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed special guests for the 30th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Cleveland’s historic Public Hall. They include:

        Paul McCartney inducting Ringo Starr

        Peter Wolf inducting the Paul Butterfield Blues Band

        Fall Out Boy inducting Green Day

        John Mayer inducting Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble

        Steve Cropper inducting the “5” Royales

        Miley Cyrus inducting Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

Performers include Beck & Karen O. performing to honor Lou Reed; John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr. and others performing for Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble; Zac Brown and Tom Morello performing for the Paul Butterfield Blues band and John Legend, performing for Jon Withers. Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh and Jimmie Vaughan will also appear. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland  will also celebrate the 2015 Inductees with a new expanded 2015 Inductee exhibit, scheduled to open in April, honoring this year’s Inductees: the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Green Day, Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Bill Withers, Ringo Starr and the “5” Royales.

The HBO special features:

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Induction by Miley Cyrus; Performance: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts perform “Bad Reputation.” Dave Grohl then joins to perform “Cherry Bomb.” Tommy James with Miley Cyrus then join to perform “Crimson and Clover.”

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band Induction by Peter Wolf; Performance: Zac Brown and Tom Morello perform “Born in Chicago.”

 

Bill Withers Induction by Stevie Wonder; Performance: Stevie Wonder performs “Ain’t No Sunshine,” and is joined by John Legend for “Use Me.” Bill Withers then joins to perform “Lean on Me.”

 

Green Day Induction by Fall Out Boy Performance: Green Day performs “American Idiot,” “When I Come Around,” and “Basket Case.”

 

The “5” Royales Induction by Steve Cropper

 

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble Induction by John Mayer; Performance: Jimmie Vaughan and Double Trouble are joined by John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr. and Doyle Bramhall II for “Pride and Joy” and “Texas Flood.”

 

Lou Reed Induction by Patti Smith Performance: Karen O and Nick Zinner perform “Vicious,” and Beck performs “Satellite of Love.”

 

Ringo Starr Induction by Paul McCartney Performance: Ringo Starr performs “Boys.” Joe Walsh steps in to perform “It Don’t Come Easy.” Paul McCartney returns with Joan Jett, Miley Cyrus, Dave Grohl, Tom Morello, Zac Brown, Gary Clark Jr., Leon Bridges, Green Day, Karen O, Beck, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Bill Withers to perform “With a Little Help from My Friends” and “I Wanna Be Your Man.” Paul Shaffer and members of the CBS Orchestra served as backup band for several of the night’s performances.

And if you like all that than you’re in luck as HBO has renewed its commitment to the event by acquiring the rights to present the annual induction ceremony for three more years. Enjoy your rock and roll, kids!
