“Umm.. yeah.. we’re going to need you to go ahead and.. join the cast of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.. That’d be great.

HBO’s period drama, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, is now in production and as filming occurs press releases surface about cast additions. Ron Livingston is the latest actor to be listed.

It sounds like he just may have a real juicy role as we learn that he plays Roy Phillips, a wealthy out-of-town businessman. What business he is in is, of course, is unclear. However, what makes this role great is that Phillips catches the eye of Gillian Darmody played by Gretchen Mol. That sounds like it could be steamy and/or deadly.

Mr. Livingston is no stranger to HBO. He played Carrie Bradshaw’s boyfriend Jack Berger for eight (8) episodes of Season 5 & 6 of SEX AND THE CITY; played Captain Lewis Nixon featured heavily in the episode “Why We Fight” in BAND OF BROTHERS and also was in HBO FILMS: GAME CHANGE as Mark Wallace a Senior Advisor to Senator McCain.  But Mr. Livingston is probably most famous outside of HBO for his leading role in movie Office Space.

Now he adds BOARDWALK EMPIRE to his resume as a regular cast member. We will see him and the rest of the denizens of the Roaring ’20’s Atlantic City when the show’s fourth season premieres this fall. HBOWatch will continue to keep a track of this show production.
