Maher-Santorum-Fight-300x206On Friday night’s episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, Bill launched into his normal “New Rules” segment saying:

“It’s no coincidence that the type of tree which God forbade Adam and Eve eating from was the tree of knowledge. Rick Santorum home-schools his children because he does not want them eating that (audio bleep) apple,” Maher said. “He wants them locked up in the Christian Madrassa that is the family living room, not out in public where they could be infected by the virus of reason.”

Maher often speaks out against religion and even released a film called Religulous, taking on Christianity and faith in general throughout an entire documentary.  Presidential Candidate, Rick Santorum didn’t find Maher very funny, though lashing back at the political pundit saying:

“All of a sudden, if you’re instilling faith and teaching them about God in your home, you’re a madrassa, according to these folks, as if reason doesn’t take place in these homes,” Santorum said. “Our children will out-reason him. My 12-year-old will out-reason Bill Maher when it comes to understanding how logic works, ’cause (Maher) is completely illogical.”

Bill has taken some heat recently on several fronts but we still can’t wait to see what he has to say about all this on Friday night at 10PM on HBO.

It is interesting to me that a man with a superior education (I think he went to Pen state) has such backward views as Santorum.
He has issues with birth control, not everyone can afford 8 children like him, and sex should only be for procreation? really?
Never mind how much more expensive it is for the state and companies not to have birthcontrol.
He thinks women are too emotional for the military
To me these are pre-industrial revolution ideas, are we to go back to the 1800’s?
Santorum goes to Puerto Rico and tells them it’s the law that they must have speak english. First of all it’s not the law and second, in Puerto Rico english and spanish are taught in school from 1st grade on through college, and puertorricans are bilingual .
He doesn’t beleive in the separation of church and state. And that church better be christian.
It’s amazing that he is actually winning primaries in several states. When did the Republican party turn into this? I am an independent voter, but all this things are so far removed from what I hope is the mayority that baffles me that he could actually be elected president.

Even though my husband and I are both democrats we can not stand the obnoxious and arrogant B.M.. How people can stand to watch this guy every week is beyond me. I wish they would replace this show with just about anything else.

Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from but his guests and discussions are SO much better than most of the party-line crap that people tout on other talk shows like this. Don’t have to agree with Bill but the show is on an intelligence level like no other news show!
