That’s right folks, despite there not being an official word from HBO yet as to whether or not they are renewing Industry for a third season, the shows writers are writing it anyway.
The shows main writers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay confirmed in a recent interview that they have a ‘really good’ idea for season three. This is unsurprising really considering the cliff hangers that the second season have left us on, I wonder if their writing is simply a continuation of what has happened in season 2? As we all know by now, the second season ended with Harper being fantastically ousted from Pierpoint & Co as head honcho Eric takes head of the newly merged CPS and FX desks. However, her story was not tied up entirely with her professional relationship with Jesse Bloom (Jay Duplass) still hanging by a hair.
There is nothing more from the shows creators at this point, the most notable mentions would be on casting. However, things are being kept very hush hush. The show is only just about to premiere in the UK on BBC2, so perhaps until the figures come in from across the pond, HBO are holding out on confirming a renewal.
What did you think of the season 2 finale? Is there more story to tell? Let us know in the comments.
