The HBO comedy series HIGH MAINTENANCE, created by Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, returns for its nine-episode fourth season FRIDAY, FEB. 7 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT). The critically acclaimed show uses The Guy (Sinclair), a marijuana dealer, to tell a variety of distinctly authentic, empathetic and insightful stories about the New York Community, including his own. Season four credits: created by Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair; executive producers, Katja Blichfeld, Ben Sinclair and Russell Gregory; producers, Willy Friedman, Gwen Bialic and Emi Irikawa.

Note that the series has made its way back to Friday nights. Its first two seasons were on Friday then Season Three went to Sunday night after TRUE DETECTIVE Season Three to complete an hour along with CRASHING. Now, starting on 02.07.20 it is back behind REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER.

Here is a Teaser to accompany this announcement.

As it makes clear – “When life hits hard we got a Guy.” For those not familiar or for those who need a refresher (and because I’ve got to come up with a few words about it all) HIGH MAINTENANCE  is about The Guy, a nameless marijuana dealer in Brooklyn who delivers his goods via bicycle to stressed-out clients across New York City, who try to savor the highs of life in an increasingly volatile world. While dropping off weed to his customers, he makes brief appearances in their lives to get a glimpse at their daily routines, allowing viewers to explore the existence of intriguing, colorful individuals from all walks of life. It paints a uniquely authentic portrait of New York with empathy and insight, telling amusing, surprising, sometimes moving and always poignant tales of denizens who are usually just faces on the crowded sidewalks of Brooklyn.

The New York Times has called the show “wistful, often hilarious and always tender” with “so much compassion,” while Vanity Fair praised the show for its ability to “gaze at its neighbors with frank curiosity, noticing quirks of fashion and gaps in opportunity,” and Entertainment Weekly described it as a “gem” with “episodes that are both timely and timeless.”

Are you going to take a toke and settle in for HIGH MAINTENANCE Season 4?
