Another Emmy Awards presentation, the 78th, held its event, with HBO once again taking the most nominations with 122. It did not, of course, walk away with all those as wins. Apple+’s Widow’s Bay did a pretty good job of taking some of those top honors, and a number of categories had multiple HBO actors vying for the same trophy. Listed below is a complete rundown of the 21 honors HBO shows did garner.

Casey Bloys, Chairman & CEO, HBO & HBO Max Content stated, “Great storytelling has always been at the heart of HBO and HBO Max, and tonight’s Emmy recognition is a powerful reflection of that commitment. To see The Pitt recognized as Outstanding Drama Series and DTF St. Louis honored as Outstanding Limited Series is incredibly rewarding, as is celebrating Emmy-winning performances from Noah Wyle and Tom Pelphrey, along with Jean Smart’s history-making Emmy win. We are grateful to the talented creative teams whose passion and artistry continue to inspire audiences around the world.”
We were happy to see that DTF ST LOUIS snagged so many honors, not surprised that THE PITT did so well, and proud to note the distinction awarded to Jean Smart for her portrayal of Deborah Vance. She made history after winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for all five seasons of HACKS.
We are also happy to see that Tom Pelphrey won an award for his performance as Robbie Prendergrast in TASK and that Emmy host Mariska Hargitay’s took the Outstanding Documentary award home for MY MOM JAYNE: A FILM BY MARISKA HARGITAY.
If you’ve missed any of these works, perhaps now that they have obtained Emmy wins, you might be more intrigued to check them out; find all of them on HBO Max and across HBO’s linear channels. Enjoy!
