A Press Release dropped announcing the seven nominations the network has received for the upcoming 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards. As if HBO needs any more awards, right? Well, don’t worry it might not be a long list this time around, but some of them are for top honors.

HBO’s Golden Globe nominations this year include:

VEEP_logo* 2 nominations for VEEP for: Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

This comedy has done well in reeling in awards and the constituents that make up the Hollywood Foreign Press appreciate it too.BESSIE_06-300x175

1* 1 nomination for HBO Films’ BESSIE: Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Queen Latifah).

A powerful performance indeed!

The rabble rave for that one, of course. Odd, though for some stated that this wasn’t GOT best seasonFilms_NightingalePoster-209x300.

Love for the gang is always good and so is our love for HBO.

Admit it, we like it when our favorites get awarded. GAME OF THRONES wad nominated in 2015 and 2013 and SILICON VALLEY was nominated last year. Ricky Gervais will host the ceremony when it broadcasts on NBC on 01.10.16. You can bet he will sling plenty of insults around. Anything can happen; you just might see a Golden Globe in the hands of Benioff or Louis-Dreyfus or Issac or any of the others.
