Super-Bowl-HBO-ShowsThe Home Box Office audience is a sophisticated bunch.  So it may not have occurred to you that the game of football may interfere with your Sunday night television watching plans like Richard Sherman on a fade-pass to Crabtree at the back of the end zone.

Actually the normal HBO Sunday schedule will air as planned on Super Bowl Sunday minus True Detective which will be taking a break that week with the newest episode of Girls at 10PM and Looking, episode two airing at 10:30.  The change here will be that HBO will air new episodes of those shows on SATURDAY night starting at 10PM (their normal time).  This means you can watch them any time you’d like that weekend on HBO proper or HBO Go.

Waiting for the game all day?  Why not watch an hour of HBO while you await your party guests?  So this actually might be a great change for HBO subscribers as you now have more choices for viewing HBO’s originals this weekend in lieu of the big game.

So just to reiterate if you’re confused:

Tonight’s episodes of HBO’s Sunday original series will debut in their usual time slots on SUNDAY, JAN. 26, with TRUE DETECTIVE (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), followed by GIRLS (10:00-10:30 p.m.) and LOOKING (10:30-11:00 p.m.).

There will be a one-time-only change to the schedule the following week. TRUE DETECTIVE will be on hiatus, while new episodes of GIRLS and LOOKING will debut one day earlier than usual, on SATURDAY, FEB. 1, with GIRLS (10:00-10:30 p.m.) followed by LOOKING  (10:30-11:00 p.m.). Both episodes can also be seen the next day, Sunday, Feb. 2, in their usual time slots.

I only started watching a month ago and am nearly through season two. As a writer and actor I am in awe of the scripting and acting. It bridges the gap between improv and script with amazing fluidity so that moment to moment one does not know what to expect. So far favorite Season 2 6-8. Brilliant
