Here is an HBO Sports program we haven’t seen in a while. FACE OFF WITH MAX KELLERMAN offers a unique look at pugilists as they square off verbally at a round table in anticipation of their upcoming matchup. The latest has a sit-down with Mike Alvarado and Ruslan Provodnikov who will sit face to face and answer questions from the host and also address each other and their fans.
The debut of this installment airs on 10.05.13 at 1:00am after the huge WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING card that offers three matches that night. More on that contest in the forthcoming “WHAT’s ON: HBO Schedule for October” post. The Alvardo/Provodnikov fight airs on 10.19.
Max Kellerman, the color commentator for HBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING and HBO BOXING AFTER DARK, knows his sport and the players and anyone who loves boxing needs to check out the FACE OFF series. It is not boxing news but up close interviews with fighters seated across from their next opponent. It could be intense.
