We have a teaser and details about the latest HBO/Sky collaboration to announce. It is all about a huge domestic dispute, and it’s called WAR. The show will be an anthology series about high-stakes legal battles, with a second season already greenlit. Straight from a press release come the facts.
HBO has released the first teaser and images for season one of HBO and Sky Original legal drama series WAR, debuting THURSDAY, OCTOBER 01 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Created by George Kay (Lupin, Hijack), and starring Dominic West ( HBO’s THE WIRE) and Sienna Miller (HBO Films’ THE GIRL), the series is co-produced by New Pictures and Observatory Pictures, with new episodes of the eight-episode season debuting weekly on Thursdays.
WAR is a high-stakes, legal drama following the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers as firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren (Archie Renaux) into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything. Season one follows the explosive divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (West) and international film star Carla Duval (Miller), as Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients.

The series has been greenlit with a two-season order from HBO and Sky and is currently in production on season two. Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald, and David Harewood will star in the next headline-making legal battle, as their lawyers become embroiled in an explosive defamation case.
