Those of you lucky enough to be watching the maiden season of HBO’s Togetherness are no doubt experiencing feelings of joy at this news: we’re getting a second season! Critics have almost universally praised the show thus far. Personally, as a new, 30-something parent the series is really hitting home. It’s like Girls for a different generation in my view.
The half-hour comedy is set to begin production on its second season this year in Los Angeles for debut in 2016. A quote from Jay and Mark Duplass:
“We began our love affair with HBO in our parents’ living room in 1983, and to have these brilliant creative people put a ring on our fingers with a second season of TOGETHERNESS is a real-life dream come true.”
Here’s the cast in case you’ve forgotten:
Mark Duplass as Brett Pierson
Melanie Lynskey as Michelle Pierson
Amanda Peet as Tina Morris
Steve Zissis as Alex Pappas
We’re reviewing the entire season so check those out if you want to commune with fellow lovers of Togetherness on HBO.

BEST NEWS! I’m so happy we’ll be getting more of this series. It has so much promise and I’m really enjoying it so far–especially Amanda Peet. She’s hysterical and absolutely perfect.
