The Television Ciritic’s Association has given HBO’s Game of Thrones the award for Outstanding New Program this year beating our fellow HBO program Boardwalk Empire for the statue. Other shows in the same category included Terriers (FX), The Killing (AMC) as well as Walking Dead (AMC). NBC’s Friday Night Lights took top honors as Program of the Year while PBS’ Masterpiece: Sherlock edged out HBO’s Emmy magnet Mildred Pierce. HBO is known for bringing home the awards and this time is no exception! We expect to post many articles like this in the future.
