The wait for Season 5 has become close to unbearable at this point. Millions of fans are not-so-patiently waiting, almost a year mind you, for the next season to premiere. The only thing getting us through is spending our time grasping at the small bread crumbs HBO leaves us throughout the long offseason.  We’ve got a small teaser or two but, HBO, must thou leave us so unsatisfied?

Prepare for you next breadcrumb, GoTers! Several observant fans collectively broke the news that a new special is set to air on February 8th at 7:30PM, titled Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life.  HBO has a schedule on their official website, HBO.com which shows the special airing:

Featurette2

While the extended promo will give us some insight into the newest season, it probably won’t run for the full 28 minutes it’s designated based on HBO’s history with these specials.  Last year’s special only ran about 15 minutes.  Some of those minutes are recapping the previous season but most of that time is taken up with interviews, clips and behind the scenes footage from the upcoming installment.

Any little taste is well worth the wait, however, so make sure to set your DVRs and let us know in the comments below what you’re hoping to see this coming season! We expect at least a teaser trailer to air along with Girls, Looking and Togetherness this weekend, actually as is what happened last year.

No exact air date for you right now but our best guess right now is very early April, late March 2015. If that trailer airs this weekend we’ll probably get that air date as well.

Stay tuned!  Winter is almost here.

I have become addicted to GoT. This is the first time I have ever watched a serial and have now bought the full 4 seasons on DVD. I’ve seen all 4 seasons 3 times now and can’t wait for season 5.
