That’s it! Filming for Game of Thrones season 4 has officially come to an end, according to Cat Taylor, the Behind the Scenes writer for the show.

This year shooting was more contained, as there were only two filming crews, Dragon and Wolf. Shooting took place in various locations across the world, including Northern Ireland, Iceland and Croatia.

Here’s the official word from Cat, as provided on Twitter.

Now that filming is over, it shouldn’t be too long before we start seeing some behind the scenes features, teasers, and trailers.

Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres in the Spring of 2014. We’ll provide the exact air date here as soon as we have it.

We’ll be posting some images from the set soon but here’s the one in the preview slider image you may have seen on the home page.  Time to get excited:

First Two episodes of Season 1 were really interesting. After that it was all bloody dialogue, nobody important being killed, nothing happening until the “plot twist” before the credits.

Then i started skipping the episodes and just watching the endings. Made it much more interesting. Overall, I liked Season 1 the best, then 3, then 2.
That being said can’t wait for Season 4!!!!

Starting to lose interest in this show. 10 episodes then a break that is too long. While production values are great, it’s hard to care when you can’t remember the last time an episode was aired. With 1/2 the cast gone in the finale they could have started filming earlier :)

It’s so nice to see something everyone can agree upon in a comments section. Game of Thrones unites, lol!! Greatest fictional story ever told. But how do we get Mr Martin to hurry up on those last two books???

You forgot to include a period at the end of your sentence. I guess you need to read more books! ;-)
