Lilley-HBO-angry-boys-225x300Comedian Chris Lilly, creator of HBO’s Summer Heights High will debut his newest show, Angry Boys on HBO this New Years Day!  Starting at 6PM HBO will air Summer Heights High in its entirety on HBO2.  The premiere of Angry Boys will follow at 10PM on HBO proper but check your local listings and DVR settings just to be sure.

The series is built around Daniel Sims, 17, and his identical (but deaf) twin brother, Nathan, who is about to leave the family farm for “deaf college,” but not before Daniel throws him a farewell party that (he hopes) will include the celebrities adorning posters on the walls of their bedroom.

“The twins were the setup for the whole thing,” Lilley says. “I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool to have a fake documentary looking at the fame of boys and all the issues they have?’ We sort of jump into the wall and explore all these heroes.”

The show also hones in on several other hilarious characters (all played by Lilley).  Take a look at the latest trailer below and be sure to ring in the new year with Summer Heights High as well as Angry Boys this January 1st. 2012!

Honestly, I never made it the whole way through SUMMER HEIGHTS HIGH. I will attempt to give Lilley’s next one a try, but I didn’t find his work funny the first go around.

If anyone loves his work defend it in the forum!
