The gals are back! That’s right, we are due for an update from the girls from the big city, as we look at how life is treating Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York Goldenblatt. The first episode of Max’s AND JUST LIKE THAT…’s third season debuted on Thursday, May 29, and will run through August 14. That makes for a big whooping 12 installments, uploaded at 9:00 pm ET each week.
Unfortunately, we could not line up a reviewer for the show, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t want to draw your attention to this latest season. The lead ladies, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, are once again teamed up with Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel, Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley. Also included in the cast are Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Christopher Jackson as Herbert Wexley, Sebastiano Pigazzi as Giuseppe, Alexa Swinton as Rock Goldenblatt, Dolly Wells as Joy, and John Corbett as Aidan Shaw. Joining them for season 3 are Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake, Logan Marshall-Green, and guest Rosie O’Donnell.
The show is all about how one deals with the phases of their lives when it comes to life, work, love, and well-being. It, of course, began with SEX AND THE CITY, when the ladies were in their 30s, and now with AND JUST LIKE THAT…, the ladies are a couple of decades older. If you recall the latest hiccups in their lives, Carrie moved on from the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth), to reconnect with her longtime standby, Aidan Shaw. Another relationship came to an end between Miranda and Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), and Charlotte wanted something more than just being a devoted wife and mother.
I’m sure it won’t take any effort to figure out who explores a relationship with a virgin nun, who interferes in her children’s lives just a little too much, who is keeping their eyes on the prize as headstrong businesswomen, and who takes up writing again, but with a new twist.
