Yes, he is on the REAL TIME Set doing “New Rules”, but the segment airs on REAL SPORTS.

Movies_LittleMissSunshine-300x190Other Movies and Shows: Yes, I know HBO repeats programming like everybody else, but sometimes it is nice to find a hidden treasure. Just maybe, a title I mention here strikes your fancy and you’ll enjoy it on HBO in March. How about BATMAN BEGINS or THE BOOK THIEF? There is also THE DARJEELING LIMITED, DOLPHIN TALE, the recent Oscar winner THE GRAND BUDEPEST HOTEL, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and a couple of FAST & FURIOUS flicks. Just remember a repeat to you could be someone’s gem.

HBO’s Other Platforms: Lucky HBO subscribers get more than one channel on which to find entertainment. Consider the following. HBO Latino: Man, I have rattled off so many titles over the years I hope Movies_SuperCapers-300x239I am not repeating myself. Here are two titles on the channel that I have singled out. I suggest THE MYSTERY OF HAPPINESS about Santiago and Eugenio who are more than friends, they are life-long business partners. They understand each other without words, they care for each other, they need each other. One day Eugenio disappears without leaving any clues behind. Also look up BEFORE WE ARE FORGOTTEN. Former Mexican President Felipe Calderon’s six-year war on drug trafficking is the focus of this investigativedocumentary. The voices of parents, siblings, wives, and children of the many victims of the war–more than 121,000 and counting–tell their personal stories of suffering. There are also continuing episodes of the series PSI and ROOMMATES. HBO Family: I never heard of either of these – SUPER CAPERS (pictured) and THE EAST. The first one simply states “A good guy with no powers joins a superhero team with no clue against a bad guy with no shame.” Hey, remember it is a channel for kids!  The other one, THE EAST, is about an operative for a elite private intelligence firm who finds her priorities changing dramatically after she is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group. Hey, I thought this was a channel for kids? HBO Signature: I’ll confess one of my go-to channels is this one right here. I can always find something to watcDowney_Chaplin-300x180h on HBO Signature. Check such titles like 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, which is a 1999 high school romp with the late Heath Ledger or DEAR GOD with Greg Kinnear. Okay, then how about TIGERLAND or CHAPLIN? Surely, one of those got your attention? The first is about fresh Vietnam recruits and the other has Robert Downey, Jr.  (pictured) before he was Iron Man. HBO Comedy:I’m on a roll so how about SON OF THE PINK PANTHER by Blake Edwards, ME MYSELF I with Rachel Griffiths well before HBO’s SIX FEET UNDER, plus you can catch an encore of THE LIFE’S TOO SHORT SPECIAL with Warwick Davis — just a thought.  HBOGO: Let’s see if I can intrigue viewers with some cool titles coming for a rotation on the HBO site. You need to see BLADE RUNNER again especially since Harrison Ford signed up for a sequel. THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY is a classic I can’t pass up. Okay, so it didn’t get Oscar-nominated so just watch THE LEGO MOVIE again anyway. Lastly, how about the sci-fi thriller SUNSHINE? Cinemax: Season Three of the Emmy-winning BANSHEE continues with a new episode FRIDAY, MARCH 06 at 10:00pm followed by the season finale March 13. The following is what we can tell you about them.

Banshee_S326-1024x683

— Episode #29: “Even God Doesn’t Know What to Make of You”: Lucas recalls the history of his friendship with Job, while pondering the future – if there indeed will be one. Proctor and Emily pay the price for Rebecca’s recklessness; Carrie and Gordon pick up the pieces of their shattered relationship; Stowe and Leo land a big fish; Bunker reconnects with his skinhead past; Deva gets a lesson about crime and punishment. (Written by Jennifer Ames & Steve Turner; directed by Loni Peristere.) Playdates: 03.06, 03.07, 03.08, 03.09 and 03.11.

— Episode #30: “We All Pay Eventually”: As Lucas recalls a secret chapter in his life, Job gets special treatment from a fan of his work, while blaming Carrie for blowing the group’s cover. Unexpectedly joined by Gordon, Lucas prepares to return to Genoa for a final negotiation with Stowe, or die trying. Bunker vows to shut down the Brotherhood, but his brother Calvin isn’t about to back down. Joined by Rebecca and a new ally, Proctor heads to Philly to settle a score with Frazier and the Black Beards. After a bloody denouement in Banshee, Brock finally gets what he’s been wishing for. (Written by Jennifer Ames & Steve Turner; directed by Loni Peristere.) Playdates: 03.13, 03.14, 03.16, 03.17 and 03.18.

Next Month’s Tease: Last time we hinted that the movie NEIGHBORS would play this month. Here is a tease for next month – Besides the obvious (GOT) in April, Big Girls Don’t Cry.

Final Clip: I want to overload your senses with some VICE, but I must not try to force my tastes onto others so here is a trailer for INTO THE STORM instead. But, don’t forget VICE has a special report out and a season premiere on 03.06.

Don’t miss out!

Been wanting to watch Days of Future Past again. Loved it the first time. We’ll see if it holds up. Jersey Boys wasn’t bad. Not great Eastwood but I dug it. Let’s Be Cops was a miserable experience.

X-Men: Days of Future Past confirmed for next month after I saw the promo yesterday. It’s about a time HBO is airing a good movie on the night before the GoT season premiere. Fast Five b4 s2 was, Snow White b4 s3 was bad, Man of Steel b4 s4 was fine but ok. Anyway I’m excited for next month.

Jersey Boys next month. When is HBO going to premiere movies that are neither a bad movie nor box office bomb. I hope Apes or X-Men premiere the night b4 GoT season premiere. That’s my prediction for April.
