Are you tired of hearing about every single True Detective season 2 tidbit coming out of Hollywood yet? Good because we’re absolutely not and will always bring you the latest info on your favorite shows.
The word from Nic Pizzolato, writer and creator of the show is that, despite multiple casting rumors the show will not begin casting “in earnest” until next month.
Speaking on a radio show called To The Best of Our Knowledge Nic said this:
“Right now, we’re working with three leads. It takes place in California. Not Los Angeles, but some of the much lesser-known venues of California and we’re going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambiance of the place, much like we did in season one.”
He also added:
“The characters are all new, but I am deeply in love with each of them. We have the entire season broken out, and I have a couple of scripts, and we’ll probably start casting in earnest within the coming month.”
We already knew about the California locale and many had even speculated on the trio of leads. But it looks like we should all just cool it on the casting rumors until next month, right?!
Good luck with that, internet! Rumor or not we’ll most likely report on anything of interest to True Detective fans and frame it in the appropriate light, rumor or not.
Enjoy this period of time when the possibilities were endless for True Detective season 2. Certainty is so… final. Will it be two women and a man? Three female detectives? Will the Brad Pitt rumors pan out? It sounds like we’ll find out this summer one way or the other.
If you truly love the show then we’re positive you’ll savor a juicy mystery like this one.
