Have you ever had this happen to you? You approach someone, assuming they’re watching HBO’s amazing, epic new fantasy series only to have them look at you like you just said something in a foreign language? In a deleted scene from NBC’s The Office, a potential VP walks up to Robert California and asks him if he’s heard about “Game of Thrones on HBO”. Needless to say he hadn’t! The result? Pure awkwardness.

Well someone over at NBC has certainly heard of Game of Thrones because this joke wouldn’t have been written otherwise! We think after Game of Thrones season 2 shatters ratings expectations this spring we’ll be seeing a lot more recognition for the show. April 1st here we come!

You know when a show is a succesful hit when it starts to be referenced allover the place and not just places like THE OFFICE or THE SIMPSONS but also in print or music.

GAME OF THRONES is clearly one of those shows.
