All good things must eventually come to an end. But why do some end sooner than others? It’s an existential question, to be sure but at times like these– when it almost feels like we’re losing a friend that we ask ourselves these questions.
The answer in this case can be summed up with a name: Aaron Sorkin. The creator and writer of The Newsroom is a busy man and simply doesn’t have time for 10 hours of television per year. Yes, if you hadn’t heard: The Newsroom Season 3 will be the show’s final season. HBO wanted more, the fans seemed like they wanted more but the realty is: Aaron Sorkin didn’t have the space in his schedule for the show and this premium network. The Newsroom Season 3 Premieres November 9th, 2014.

There are only a few moments left for HBO’s The Newsroom. When HBO announced that Aaron Sorkin, writer and creator of The Newsroom would only commit to one more season of the show fans were crushed. That’s the bad news.
The good news is that one more season is coming soon, November 9th. Season 3 will be the last hurrah for the beloved show. Starting a bit later than we anticipated due to shooting conflicts most of us expected it this summer. Better late than never, right?
