In an unprecedented move, Bill Maher will travel to Washington, D.C. for two live shows, presented back-to-back without a break on FRIDAY, SEPT. 12. First, he’ll host a new edition of REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER, to be seen at a special time (9:00-10:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT) from Sidney Harman Hall. The current season of REAL TIME features a segment entitled “Flip a District,” which invites viewers to nominate their current elected representative to be voted out of office. The public is also encouraged to submit nominations on social media using the hashtag #FlipADistrict. In the live show, Maher will reveal which member of Congress he intends to flip.

Immediately following the conclusion of REAL TIME, Maher will proceed to the Warner Theatre where another audience will be waiting for him. He’ll perform a stand-up comedy special (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), marking his tenth solo special for the network since his HBO debut in 1989.

REALTIMEAllowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, REAL  TIME WITH BILL MAHER includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists, and interviews with in-studio guests. The executive producers of the show are Bill Maher, Scott Carter, Sheila Griffiths, Marc Gurvitz, Brad Grey and Billy Martin; co-executive producer Dean E. Johnsen; produced by Matt Wood; director, Paul Casey. The executive producers of the comedy special are Bill Maher and Marc Gurvitz; director, Troy Miller.

I missed the Live from DC standup special… Real Time from this night is on HBO Go, but the comedy special is not. Is there not any way to watch this?

Yes, it is on HBOGO but you have to go to the “Comedy” category to find it. It is one of the first ones listed there. Find it and enjoy.
