Game of Thrones continues to trounce ratings expectations with another 3.8 million viewers tuning in to the second episode of the new season on Easter Sunday. Considering this was a major holiday around the world, we would have expected a much steeper dropoff in viewership as some people are out of town, just coming back from vacation etc. The premiere garnered only 100,000 more viewers and remember– these numbers don’t include HBOGo, On Demand or other later viewings that are popular with many HBO programs. The final number of people watching Game of Thrones is much much higher. And let’s not even talk about the torrent numbers… right, HBO?
Game of Thrones season 2 marches on next Sunday at 9PM. Be there to be part of that number next week! We’ll have our full review of this latest episode up shortly.
