Gracing the cover of the next Entertainment Weekly (on newsstands 03.08) is Michael Douglas and Matt Damon in character for HBO Films: BEHIND THE CANDELABRA. Since it is a cover shot there must be a featured article contained within the pages. It could possibly talk about an on-set visit to the film or at least offer some quotes from the actors and/or director Soderbergh about the uncomfortable portrayals the actors put themselves in to get this story told. Here is the glittery shot and EW’s coverage.
HBO Films: BEHIND THE CANDELABRA premieres 05.26.13.

Can someone from the 70’s PLEASE explain this man to me? I really don’t get it. Maybe i’ll let Micheal Douglas do it for me in May.
Liberace was a talented pianist and singer. He was also gay. Back then it was considered a crime to be gay. He didn’t want anyone to know so he hid the fact. When he passed away back in 1988,the truth came out cause he died from complications from aids.
I worked as a personal assistant for Liberace in 1973-74 and found him to be one of the most generous and genuine people i have ever met.
I have some Japaneese woodblock erotic art pieces he gave me. I suppose now would be a good time to offer them for sale considering the upcoming HBO special playing this Sunday.
if anyone wants to contact me they can at artiemon@hotmail.com
The first word I think of when someone says Liberace is flamboyant. He was certainly a showman. Wikipedia.org says he was the highest paid entertainer in the world during the 50’s/60’s&70’s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberace
