HBO’s award-magnet ‘Mildred Pierce’ is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray as of today, January 3rd 2012. Up for several Golden Globes this year and winner of even more Emmys, the show based on the 1941 novel of the same name stars Kate Winslet and Guy Pierce.
Fans will want to pick up the 4-disc Collector’s Edition for $37 on Amazon right now if they’re wanting to lock in that price. Or alternatively you can check your local retailer for available copies. Bonus Features are a bit skimpy with only “Inside the episode pieces for parts 1-5” and “The Making of Mildred Pierce” listed as bonuses but the show itself is worth every penny!
HBO may or may not air the show on Demand or HBOGo in the future but with mini-series like these you never know when you’ll get to see them again so be sure to grab your copy for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.
