Though the awards have yet to air, HBO Watch can confirm that several HBO programs will be taking home Spike TV’s “Scream Awards” this year. Scream awards are typically given out to Sci-Fi, Horror and Fantasy genere features on television. HBO’s Game of Thrones won for Best TV Show, and Best Supporting Actor for Peter Dinklage’s excellent portrayal of Tyrion Lannister. And also, the award for Breakout Performance Female, which went to Emilia Clarke, who plays the last of the Targaryens in George RR Martin’s epic.
Alexander Skarsgård won for Best Horror Actor for playing Eric in True Blood. In other True Blood news, Joe Manganiello won for Breakout Performance Male for his performance as Alcide. Skarsgard and Manganiello aren’t the The entire True Blood cast has cause to celebrate as the series won for Best Ensemble.
