The last two HBO Films presentations we saw were in November and October of last year; they were MIKE TYSON: THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH and MUHAMMAD ALI’S GREATEST FIGHT respectively. The next film under that banner doesn’t come our way until this May – 05.25 to be exact. It is THE NORMAL HEART and HBOWatch has been tracking it through its development and production. One such definitive post was What We Know About… from 10.29.13.
Now HBO is ready to ramp up the marketing for the Larry Kramer play brought to film. Here is a 46 second look, and the first footage we have seen, from Ryan Murphy’s HBO Films: THE NORMAL HEART.
If you are unfamiliar with the medical crisis that this film depicts or want to learn more of the past treatment of homosexuals in American society than take note. It is an historical and impactful piece of history. We await a full trailer and a poster as the air date gets closer.
