Directed by Spike Lee and produced by Funny Or Die, JERROD CARMICHAEL: LOVE AT THE STORE, debuting SATURDAY, OCT. 4 (10:00pm ET), features the comedy star in his first HBO solo special. Taped May 7 at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, the exclusive presentation features Carmichael’s unique take on such topics as: poverty, wealth, crime, race, national tragedies, female empowerment and why talent is more important than morals.
Prior to the premiere of his special, Carmichael embarked on a six-city “Love at the Store Tour”, which began Sept. 24 in Philadelphia and culminated Sept. 30 in Los Angeles. Carmichael’s other credits include the feature film Neighbors and the TV series Comedy Bang! Bang!, Lucas Bros Moving Co. and The Goodwin Games.

Spike Lee is on a roll with helping black entertainers getting their stage time. He also directed Mike Tyson and Katt Williams with their latest stage work and subsequent televised routines and must see something in Jerrod Carmichael to give him his shot. Watch him and see if he makes you laugh.
