George R.R Martin has announced two more names for Game of Thrones Season 2! First up, As Ygritte, we have the lovely Rose Leslie, kissed by fire. Rose is best known for her role in the first season of Downton Abbey, the British miniseries that scored big at this year’s Emmys. Here’s the actress in a recent interview:
Next is Simon Armstrong, a veteran of stage and screen, and another great addition to the cast. He will be playing Qhorin Halfhand, a member of the Night’s Watch who plays a pivotal role in the story towards the end of Clash of Kings. Both actors are heading to Belfast, Ireland soon to begin their work on Game of Thrones season 2!
Season 2 of Game of Thrones premieres next spring, probably around the same time season one premiered (April 2012). We’ll keep you updated on all the goings on in the world of Westeros!
