Straight from an HBO Press Release comes the details on Danny McBride’s return to North Jackson High as Neal Gamby:
The tumultuous school year continues and a new semester brings lots of changes. Neal Gamby and Lee Russell are about to learn that the only thing harder than gaining power is holding on to it, as the darkest comedy on television returns to finish what was started. Season Two debuts SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 at 10:30pm.
Danny McBride (Gamby) and Walton Goggins (Russell) star in part two of HBO’s hit comedy series, created by McBride and Jody Hill and directed by David Gordon Green. McBride, Hill and Green are joined as executive producers by Jonathan Watson and Stephanie Laing.
Also starring in VICE PRINCIPALS are Kimberly Hebert Gregory as Head Principal Dr. Belinda Brown, Georgia King as English teacher Amanda Snodgrass, Busy Phillips as Gale Liptrapp Neal’s ex-wife, Shea Whigham as Gale’s new husband Ray Liptrapp and Sheaun McKinney as cafeteria staffer Dayshawn.
Now is there really going to be a tiger roaming the school halls? If so, then it could only be a botched up revenge plan. But, we have already seen that Gamby and Russell are capable of just about anything. Don’t forget that they blackmailed Principal Brown in Season One. If you remember, as the semester came to a close, Gamby seemed distracted by where he stood in his relationship with Amanda Snodgrass (there was that field trip and all), and he wasn’t 100% into the plan he and Russell had cooked up to take down Dr. Brown.
