Gloria Steinem talks HBO Doc on Colbert

Gloria Steinem, “icon of the feminist movement” spoke with Stephen Colbert on his Colbert Report last night about her HBO Documentary film: Gloria: In Her Own Words.   The film chronicles Steinem’s emergence as a driving force in the modern women’s liberation movement.  She recalls begininning her career as a journalist in New York City in the early 1960’s and making headlines with an expose on the worling conditions of Playboy Bunnies.  The HBO Doc also focuses on her later years and her battles without and within the feminist movement.  Gloria: In her Own Words premieres Monday, August 15th at 9PM on HBO.
