Scores of HBOWatch readers have expressed their discontentment with HBO’s decision to cancel the series last year. But the premium cable network couldn’t just let a group of talented, hilarious individuals dissolve just like that! Today we can confirm through various reports that HBO is developing a movie version of the comedy series. The central stars Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson are expected to return to reprise their roles.
Here’s the only bit of info we have on the plot coming from Danson himself:
[Schwartzman’s character] “becomes a policeman, which means, for him, a traffic cop. He’ll have a traffic-cop go-kart kind of thing. And I think Ray [Zach Galifianakis] and I move in together, both of us without relationships. And then: hijinks. All hell breaks loose. That’s about as much as I know.”
Not a ton of information here but who cares. BORED TO DEATH IS BACK! HBO is pleasing the fans of their cancelled or completed series’ with an Entourage Movie as well as a resurrection of Eastbound and Down. Now if we could just get Rome, Deadwood and Luck back…
