George R.R Martin is all over the place doing interviews, conferences and promoting the new season of Game of Thrones on HBO. We even got the chance to shake the man’s hand in Seattle last year! Recently, Martin sat down for an extended interview to discuss his fans, the show and the crazy amount of fame that has come with his success. He also discusses the topic on his blog.
My favorite quote in the interview “I’ve always considered women to be people..” in response to a question about portraying women favorably in his books. Here’s the full video:

I like the poster! I hope the troilsatnan from the book to the TV show is as good as the book itself. I work in the TV industry for Dish Network and I have seen some pretty bad troilsatnans from books, video games, and short stories. With as much effort and time HBO is putting in I am expecting it will be really good. HBO is even doing a free preview on April 15th-18th so if you are a Dish customer and don’t have HBO you can still see the premier to see if you like it.
